Drilling, planning and geosteering of directional wells (DW), horizontal wells (HW), sidetrack wells (SW), sidetrack horizontal wells (SHW)

 

  • Creation of a detailed sector geological and hydrodynamic models of the reservoir
  • Identification of the region of reservoir with the residual/current oil volume (zone/cells develop rating) for working through drilling new wells or sidetracks.
  • The well flow and production forecast for new wells (DW/HW, SW/SHW)
    • On the basis of the of reservoir geometry, sedimentology and reservoir porosity and permeability, production history of wells (Geological model and Dynamic reservoir model), analytical assessment of fluid and water cut flow rate.
    • Imitation of different options (directional wellbore, horizontal wellbore, reservoir pressure maintenance, hydraulic fracturing etc.)

    • Assessment of the current water oil contact (Production logging) in the area
    • Assessment of the injected water front position (injectivity profiles, Production logging)
    • Production risk assessment (hydraulic fracturing risks in watery part, etc.)
  • Preparation of geological drilling project

The well drilling geological support:

  1. The preparatory part:
    • Creation of a sector geological model of the reservoir
    • Determination of the optimal placement of the well bore in the reservoir
    • Construction of a two-dimensional reservoir model, calculation of the synthetic logging along the proposed well path imitation of formation structure behavior scenarios
    • Vertical and lateral assessment of reservoir heterogeneity
    • Assessment of inclination measurement uncertainty of the wellbore while drilling
    • Discussion of the details of drilling with the customer: the well design path, geological objectives, risk analysis

  2. Day-night geosteering (well path optimization) in real time mode (remote or in the customer’s office):
    • Analysis and interpretation of logging while drilling
    • Interpretation of the well azimuthal logging (borehole image)

    • Upgrading a two-dimensional formation model according to the incoming geological information
    • Providing recommendations for adjusting the well path to keep the target range
